Vande Bharat Sleeper Trains Set to Connect Telugu States

The Indian Railways is gearing up to introduce sleeper versions of the popular Vande Bharat trains to connect various cities in the Telugu-speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Narendra Patil revealed that a proposal is in the works to launch a Vande Bharat sleeper train service between Narasapuram in Andhra Pradesh and Bengaluru. Currently, the Vande Bharat trains primarily operate as sitting services between different cities within the Telugu states, and they have received positive responses from passengers. These high-speed trains are already connecting cities like Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad, Secunderabad to Tirupati, Vijayawada to Chennai, and Kachiguda to Yashwantpur.
While the final route is yet to be decided, authorities are contemplating launching the first Vande Bharat sleeper train from Narasapuram to Bengaluru, which would drastically cut travel time to around 10 hours. Additionally, there is a proposal for another sleeper Vande Bharat service between Secunderabad and Pune. The Vande Bharat sleeper coaches are expected to offer various facilities, as seen in recent photos shared by Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav. Each train will have a total of 857 berths, with 823 berths reserved for passengers, making train travel more comfortable and convenient for commuters in these states.
