LEO uncut (18+) version releasing in UK

Due to popular demand, "LEO uncut," an intense and gripping Tamil film, will soon be gracing the screens at Cineworld cinemas, beginning this Friday. Notably, this marks a groundbreaking achievement as the first Tamil film in the UK to receive an 18+ classification.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Seven Screen Studio, "LEO" stars Vijay in the titular role, alongside a stellar ensemble cast featuring Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, George Maryan, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and Mathew Thomas. It is the third installment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe and takes inspiration from "A History of Violence" (2005), an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name. The story revolves around Parthi, a café owner and animal rescuer in Theog, who finds himself pursued by gangsters Antony and Harold Das, who suspect him to be Antony's estranged son, Leo.

The film, originally known as "Thalapathy 67" when announced in January 2023, was later unveiled as "LEO." It marks Vijay's 67th film as the lead actor. The journey of bringing this cinematic masterpiece to life began with principal photography in Chennai, followed by a schedule in Kashmir. The film features an electrifying soundtrack by Anirudh Ravichander, breathtaking cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, and skillful editing by Philomin Raj. "LEO" was released worldwide on October 19, 2023, in both standard and IMAX formats, and it quickly made its mark by setting numerous box office records, becoming the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of 2023, despite receiving mixed reviews from critics. The film's intense narrative and impressive cast undoubtedly contributed to its commercial success, leaving audiences captivated by its uncut and daring storytelling.
